As you can see here the picture is colourful and very effective. His clothes are very fashionable which ties in well with the genre of music as most people that listen to his also are into the same sort of fashion. This picture is also very important as it reminds you what CD you are listening to. In the bottom left hand corner of this picture you can see things such as the record labels name and his website. The writting is smalls so shows that its not very relevant but is still important for people to know about. The theme of the city runs all the way through the digipack in order and by doing this it has made it look very professional. The CD itself is very plain but carrys on the scheme of the big city. 'Daniel Merriweather' is written in white on a black background to highlight its importance. The record label is also written here as well but much smaller which indicates that it isnt that important.

Front cover: By using a black background 'Daniel Merriweather' stands out and its the first thing that you notice which is very important as its the artists name and thats what the audience will be looking for. The colours of the artists name and album name also blend in very well with the colour scheme of the picture which makes it look very professional. The black and white writing with the city as the main pictures runs throughout the whole of the digipack and therefore the audience may remember Daniel Merriweather when they are in areas such as where he is in the picture. The picture is taken with a shallow focus on Daniel Merriweather in order to make him stand out from everything else on the front cover. His clothing is also very plain and neutral colours so that it first in with the colour scheme of the rest of the CD.
Back cover: Again the back carrys on the theme of the city in the top right hand corner but the rest of it is very plain. By doing this is means that the song title stand out more to the customers. The titles of the songs are written in verticle which makes it easier for the audience to read. The record label and people such as producers are again mentioned which shows me that it seems to be a very important thing to mention and therefore I need to make sure I add it to mine. Although this information is very small so that it doesnt take the attention from the song and the artist himself.

This poster is incredibly eye catching. The colours all compliment each other and attract the audience. The colour scheme is cream and gold, these come across as girly colours, so aim to attract the female audience. This poster has a lot more information on than the others, which suggests that the artist is advertising an upcoming tour or perhaps a new album. The writing is placed at the bottom of the poster, this is so that it docent cover up the artists face, which will be necessary for advertising her work. Taylor swift is a fairly new artist, so the creator sees that it is important for her to be on the poster and that her name is in the middle of the poster. The pose of the artist is relaxed, which suggests to the audience that her music is relaxing and calm.

This is James Morrison's tour poster. The main image is of him playing live music, which emphasises to the audience that all his music will be live on his tour. The largest font size is his name, which shows he needs to say who he is to get recognised. After that, the next largest font is the date he is playing and where he is playing at. these are most important parts of the poster because people need to know when and where they are going to watch hi,m. The colour scheme for the poster is yellow, blue and white. A blue background is used so that the white and yellow of the writing and image contrasts and catches the audiences eye. At the bottom of the poster it is advertising James Morrisons new album., this is a clever way to save money by advertising his tour and his album together. Due to James holding a guitar in the picture, it shows the audience what style of music he plays and that a lot of his music is acoustic.
This poster is unique and simple, it advertises coldly as a band, which they are, it conveys how they are modern with the use of contemporary photography. The name 'Coldplay' is in block capitals stating how they are important, against the white background it allows the band name to become more emphasised. The background of th poster appears to be a realistic environment showing how they can easily be related to and also how their songs are honest.

What I love about this digipak, which comes from his EP, titled after its main hit, is its simplicity. The cover shows the artist, something that seems to be a recurring theme through all of the digipaks of male solo artists. He isn't looking directly at the camera, but down, almost in a reflective way, his arm outstretched. The image is almost peaceful, and the colours very muted, which reflect that more refined tones of his music in this EP. I love the style of the writing on the front too, written in simple, almost old-style writing, encased in a simple box shape. The gold colouring reflects the idea of the age, and its background being the brown wood of a seat, possibly a chapel bench, as the sort of stained-glass window in the background would suggest, and this itself reinforces the title of the album 'These Ol' Keys', which in itself is quite an old way of speaking or writing English. This gives the cover a very rustic feel, and it's really interesting to see a modern solo artist go back to their roots and look at music that they love and explore traditional ideas.

James Morrisons digipask has a very simplistic layout and appearance. Like every digipak the artist and album name is cleary highlighted on the front cover however the text has been rotated on its side, making it less conventional and appearing in a more creative style in order to gain their target audiences attention. The image of James Morrison clearly indicates who the performer is as well as name written on the front, this helps the audience to recognise the artist. The colours used for the background is blue, orange, red and white, all colours which work well in contrast together empathising the most important aspect, the artist himself and the song. The picture of James is a silhouette, adding a sense of mystery about him and his personality.
The main feature on both the front and back is Michael Buble himself, on the front cover we have an extreme close up of him. The very little we can see of the background is all plain white to not distract your attention away from Michael's picture. The album title isn't too bold and noticeable so the CD is mainly being sold on the recognition of Michael Buble which is bannered by his name and album title. The image of Michael on the back gives us an idea of what kind of person he is and what kind of music he produces: through his dress code we see that he is a classy person with a bubbly personality through his smile. This is comforting and could make the buyer feel better about themselves when listening to his songs. The only real colour used on both sides isyellow, this is a more natural colour and is used well to brighten up the cover.

A black and white theme is used throughout this digipack. A white font on a black background is used for the artists name in order to make it stand out to the consumers. It needs to be very clear to the audience as it is a very important factor and needs to stand out. I also think that it is a very good contrast between the title and the rest of the front cover. An image of half of the artist is the first thing you notice when you look at this album. By using black and white colours it fits in with the theme of the rest of the CD. The photo looks very modern which fits in with the image they are trying to portray of trendy and stylish. Duffy has a quite a blank expression on her face which fits in with the type of music she sings as most of it is quite slow.
The back of the album is very plain and dark. Using a black background with white writting shows the importance of the song titles. Using block letters again emphasises how important these song titles are when you look at the CD and this also makes the writting easier to read. The theme of black and white again carries on on the back of the album. The producers names are written in the bottom left hand corner whichs shows me that it isnt very important but still needs to be mentioned.
The CD is again very blank. Duffy is written in white with a black background (following the same colour theme) in order to show its importance. This name needs to stand out alot on the CD because if someone lost it then they still know exactly what the CD is. The page on the left hand side is plain and has a small amount of writing which shows me that this page isnt important at all. By keeping this page blank it doesnt draw your attention away from the CD it self.
This digipak uses a good contrast with the yellow background against the darkness of the image in order to create a more eye catching look for their target audience. Like most digipaks the listings of the songs are displayed on the back of the digipak. The font used is very basic however it is still clear to read as it is the largest font used.

This Paulo Nutini digipak represents a very cheerful and relaxed genre. Everything on this digipak is very simple, the colours are harmonising and eye catching however not too overpowering creating quite a tranquil appearance reflecting his music. The font used for Paulo Nutini's digipak is in a hand written font which again, is very basic but represents him as a singer and his acoustic style of music. Another great aspect about this digipak is the way that each figure is doing something different as well as the sections of colours they have been put into. This makes the appearance more interesting to look at however still conveying a relaxed and rustic mood that is associated with this genre.
